CarterEnergy’s ValuesME Rewards Program
Terms & Conditions- Effective July 1, 2013

  1. CARTERENERGY’S VALUESME REWARDS program membership and related benefits are offered at the sole discretion of CARTERENERGY (VALUESME REWARDS), who retains the right to change, limit, modify or cancel program rules, regulations, rewards, and reward levels at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of points already accumulated, the ability to use accumulated points, or the ability to obtain rewards. CARTERENERGY may, among other things:
    • cancel the program without notice;
    • substantially increase or decrease the number of points required for a reward without notice;
    • withdraw, limit, modify, or cancel any reward;
    • change program benefits, conditions of participation, rules for earning, redeeming, retaining, or forfeiting points, or rules governing the use of rewards.
  2. The accumulation of points does not entitle members to any vested rights with respect to points, rewards, or program benefits. In accumulating points, members may not rely upon the continued availability of any reward or reward level.
  3. Official up-to-date Terms and Conditions are available on CARTERENERGY’S VALUESME REWARDS web site. Information about the VALUESME REWARDS program published through the web site supersedes any conflicting information contained in any previously published communications.
  4. Despite efforts to ensure accuracy, printing errors and other mistakes occasionally occur. CARTERENERGY reserves the right to correct such mistakes or errors at any time even if corrections affect a pending reward redemption.
  5. Account may be closed at CARTERENERGY’S discretion, and may be inactivated if the member no longer maintains a valid business relationship with CARTERENERGY
  6. Points have no cash value. Points in this program cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, may not be used with any other offer, or promotion or discount
  7. Rewards must be redeemed entirely with points.
  8. CARTERENERGY’S VALUESME REWARDS points and rewards earned through participating in VALUESME REWARDS may be subject to tax liability. All federal, state, local, and other taxes on rewards earned and prizes won, including disclosure of tax information, are the sole responsibility of the members. If at any time you would like a total of the amount that you have redeemed for in a given year, please contact us. If you redeem more than 240,000 points in a calendar year, you will be required to provide CARTERENERGY with a valid W-9 tax form before receiving any further rewards.
  9. In the case of fraud or abuse involving VALUESME REWARDS program, point credit, or reward use, CARTERENERGY has the right to take appropriate administrative and/or legal action, and all points earned through the program may be forfeited and the account closed.
  10. The awarding of VALUESME REWARDS points, and the redemption of VALUESME REWARDS points are void where prohibited by law.
  11. Members may be provided with the ability to use usernames, passwords, or other codes or devices ("access codes") to gain access to restricted portions of CARTERENERGY’S VALUESME REWARDS site. The content contained in such restricted areas is confidential to CARTERENERGY, and is provided to members for personal use only. CARTERENERGY reserves the right to prohibit the use of such access codes on behalf of members by third parties where CARTERENERGY determines that such use interferes with any VALUESME REWARDS site operation or results in commercial benefits for other entities in any way. CARTERENERGY will not be responsible for any lost, stolen or otherwise disclosed access codes, nor shall it re-credit any points withdrawn from an account by using the proper access codes. Accordingly, members' access codes should be guarded and not provided to anyone other than a CARTERENERGY representative.
  12. Accrued points do not constitute property of the member. Points accrued by a member are for the member's benefit only and may not be sold, bartered, traded, exchanged, or transferred in any way. Violation of this rule may result in the termination of the membership and forfeiture of all points in the member's account. If any person other than the member that accrued the points attempts to use points, the request will be void and the reward will be denied.
  13. If a member changes his or her name, a name change must be submitted in writing via email to customerexperience@carterenergy.com. CARTERENERGY may require a member that submits a name change to provide written proof and legal documentation of the name change via standard mail. Address changes may be made online in My Account.
  14. In order to keep members apprised of CARTERENERGY’S VALUESME REWARDS membership status, it is important that CARTERENERGY send members certain program information that may include email marketing materials from CARTERENERGY (including VALUESME REWARDS and other CARTERENERGY companies and partners) which will inform members of special offers and products CARTERENERGY believes would be of interest to members; and marketing materials from third parties that have a strategic marketing relationship with CARTERENERGY. As a participant in CARTERENERGY VALUESME REWARDS, individual members consent to receive all of the information described above. However, members will be given the opportunity to opt-out of mailings from such third parties and from emails from CARTERENERGY.
  15. At its sole discretion, CARTERENERGY may substitute rewards at any time prior to or after an order has been placed. Should a specific reward be discontinued, it will be replaced with a reward of equal or greater value or, if no suitable substitute is available, CARTERENERGY may require the member to make an alternate selection.
  16. Rewards will generally be delivered by a commercial delivery service or the U.S. Postal Service. Rewards will not be replaceable in the event of delayed delivery, loss, theft, destruction or damage. A street address and daytime phone contact number are required to process an order. Shipments cannot be made to a post office box.
  17. Applicable manufacturers' warranties may be included with a reward. Warranty claims must be directed to the manufacturer.
  18. CARTERENERGY MAKES NO PRODUCT REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL LIABILITY AS TO THE CONDITION, QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OF PRODUCTS AND/OR SERVICES PROVIDED AS REWARDS. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM OR ORDERING ANY PRODUCT, PROGRAM MEMBERS RELEASE CARTERENERGY AND ALL OF ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES AND SUPPLIERS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY THAT MAY RESULT FROM A REWARDED PRODUCT.
  19. Certain restrictions may apply to travel certificates, tickets and documents. Travel and other certificates are not exchangeable, refundable, transferable or redeemable for cash. Members should order at least 4 weeks in advance. CARTERENERGY will not be liable for late delivery of any travel certificate, ticket, or document. If members are given the opportunity to request faster delivery of travel certificates, tickets or documents by overnight or expedited carrier, the member will be responsible to pay the associated additional delivery fees. Members are responsible for governmentally imposed security fees, taxes, surcharges or other fees as may be imposed on travel by any governmental entity. By participating in the program, members release CARTERENERGY and all of its affiliates, subsidiaries and suppliers from any liability or harm that may occur during travel, including but not limited to personal injury, personal security, emotional stress, or loss of personal property.
  20. In an effort to maintain the integrity of CARTERENERGY’S VALUESME REWARDS program, CARTERENERGY may investigate all accounts that are believed to violate CARTERENERGY’S VALUESME REWARDS program rules.
